The chest of the most precious treasures of bergamo
Founded in 1793 by Giacomo Carrara, the Academy of the same name is today the main art gallery of the city of Bergamo and the whole province and boasts a heritage of 1800 paintings, more than 3000 drawings and more than 8000 prints. Inside its halls are kept masterpieces of Pisanello, Botticelli, Giovanni Bellini, mantegna, Raffaello, moroni, baschenis, Canaletto and hayez.
