After the retreat of the glacier 20,000 years ago, this area near the lake of gaiano has turned into a wonderful mountain corner at low altitude. This fascinating place with its delicate alpine microclimate can be visited every year from May to July following a path that winds through hornbeams and hazelnuts. In this area a unique climatic condition is created: in summer holes at the bottom of the valley come out of air currents at 2/4 degrees, cooled by the passage through the large blocks of ice that are created in winter underground.
